Assistant Facility Manager
Key Purpose
This Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for managing the strategic operations of various assigned facilities to ensure the operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards of the contract are met in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner. Works in cooperation with the Facility Manager, O&M service subcontractor and IFM Staff to ensure obligations are met. Work with Facility Manager to ensure site is welcoming to all who work and visit the location. Support Facility Manager with account operations in accordance with approved operating guidelines and budget. Will be required to make decisions in the absence of the Facility Manager and will be an alternative contact for the Facility Manager at the account to address operational issues.
Success Criteria
- Ensures that account facilities are operated and maintained in a cost-effective and safe condition in accordance with the approved customer’s requirements to fulfill contractual obligations
- Communicates operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations in a continuing effort to build the site team
- Work with Facility Manager to maintain the operations budget for the Office Service, Custodial and Facility Maintenance operations
- Ensure facility statutory and regulatory compliance on the site
- Conducts activities using sound business practices to optimize expenditures and profitability
- Maintains open lines of communication with customer, alliance partners, and operations managers
- Identifies, tests, and implement “leading edge” technology in support of building operations
- Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards

Ideal Candidate Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality services or equivalent experience preferred. Background in Hospitality and Event management preferred
- Five years of facility, hospitality and event management, building operations, budgeting, vendor management, operations and maintenance preferred
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment
- Be able to work flexible work schedule that may require working nights and weekend
Key Accountabilities

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting
- Sitting at a computer for 50% of the time
- Walking/Inspecting the site 50% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

The annual salary range for this position is $95000 - $105000 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
