Key Purpose

The Bartender is a customer-facing representative of ISS Guckenheimer. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable about drink preparation, and committed to providing an exceptional guest experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.


Work Hours

The work hours for this position may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.


Success Criteria

  • Be able to anticipate customer needs, deliver on those needs, and exceed expectations.
  • Identify service deficiencies and communicate effectively to managers before they become long-term issues.
  • Demonstrate customer hospitality and service standards by providing excellent one-on-one customer service.
  • Be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfill obligations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Allergen Policy.
  • Ensure full compliance with Alcohol Awareness Policy.


Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence

  • Ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and interact with all customers to help build and speak about the culture of Guckenheimer/ISS.
  • Develop and maintain good relations with cooks, servers, porters, and managers.
  • Greet, smile, make eye contact, and make customers feel welcome.


Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.


Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth bar operations.
  • Stay updated on menu offerings, specials, and promotions.
  • Must follow other duties as assigned.


Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code.
  • Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
