Hourly Wage

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are approximately 7:00 am - 10:30 pm, Mon-Fri.


Key Purpose

The Cabin Cleaning Lead is responsible for providing frontline leadership and direction to cabin cleaning team members to ensure aircraft are cleaned, serviced, and prepared in accordance with airline, airport, and company standards. This position serves as a working lead, coordinating daily activities, monitoring productivity, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and supporting supervisors in maintaining operational efficiency at Atlanta-area airport facilities.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Coordination

  • Lead and direct cabin cleaning personnel during assigned shifts
  • Assign work areas and tasks to team members based on operational needs
  • Monitor employee performance and productivity to ensure on-time aircraft servicing
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and real-time feedback to team members
  • Assist supervisors with training and onboarding of new employees
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment


Aircraft Cleaning Operations

  • Ensure aircraft cabins are cleaned according to airline specifications and established quality standards
  • Perform and oversee cleaning duties including:
  • Vacuuming carpets and flooring
  • Cleaning tray tables, seats, armrests, and galleys
  • Sanitizing lavatories
  • Removing trash and debris
  • Restocking onboard supplies as required
  • Conduct quality inspections before aircraft release.
  • Address cleaning deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly


Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all OSHA, airport, TSA, airline, and company safety procedures
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Report accidents, incidents, equipment damage, and safety concerns immediately
  • Participate in safety meetings and operational briefings
  • Maintain security awareness and compliance within restricted airport areas


Operational Support

  • Coordinate with supervisors, airline representatives, and other operational departments
  • Assist in managing staffing levels to meet flight schedules and operational demands
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to attendance, performance, and operational activities
  • Support special projects and additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years of aviation, janitorial, hospitality, or facilities experience
  • Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance
  • Must pass background checks and applicable pre-employment screening requirements


Preferred

  • Previous airline or airport operations experience
  • Experience leading diverse teams in a union or non-union environment
  • Knowledge of aircraft cleaning procedures and quality standards

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work inside aircraft cabins and confined spaces
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required


Work Environment

This position operates in an airport environment and requires adherence to strict safety, security, and operational standards. Employees may be exposed to noise, varying weather conditions, moving aircraft equipment, and tight turnaround schedules.
