Hourly Wage

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are approximately 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Mon-Fri.


Assignment Duration: This is a temporary role with an expected end date of 6 months (this date may change due to business needs).

No benefits or paid time off are offered with this role. 


Job Details:

The Driver/Attendant position must be someone from the Dayton area since they will begin the day here.

The job is to cater food and need to the MAP location in Cincinnati from OH Commissary, in Dayton PMC CareSource building.

They will be loading food and all items as need per day (ability to lift 50lb is a must).

At location they will stop drop off the food/item, park the van in the designated parking lot, and return to the site to serve the guest alongside the two baristas.

At the end of service, come back to OH Commissary and unload the van, clean hot boxes, take dirty dishes to the dishwasher and park the vehicle in the designated parking lot.


Key Purpose

  • To drive a delivery vehicle for the purpose of delivering prepared foods from production kitchen to various sites following a predetermined schedule
  • Load and unload containers, hot carts and utensils and make proper distribution
  • Maintains product rotation, product labeling and cleanliness of walk-ins and food storages areas


Success Criteria

  • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Work with the Executive Chef, FOH Manager, and Catering Manager on a variety of projects
  • Work with on-site porters on storerooms and delivery of food
  • Work with pantry supervisors on remote pantry product deliveries


Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Must be able to use standard kitchen equipment correctly and safely. Chefs' knives, Convection ovens, meat and cheese slicing machines, steamers, mandolins, grills, and broilers
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for food preparation
  • Minimum experience in catering and/or events of 1 year
  • Must have knowledge of standard catering presentation techniques
  • Ability to use basic computer programs for inputting and organizing data and menus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Possess current SERV Safe or Food Handler certification or the ability to be certified immediately after hired
  • This role requires a valid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, as operating a company vehicle is an essential responsibility in this position.


Key Accountabilities

  • Day to day support of kitchen, front of the house, and pantry deliveries
  • Perform daily, on-time deliveries
  • Clean and maintain delivery trucks (interior and exterior) daily
  • Maintain maintenance records and delivery log documentation
  • Perform pickup and drop-off of product inventory
  • Clean and safe work area
  • Workplace Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • Food Safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily
  • All internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs are followed daily Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Requires the ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials
  • Requires the ability to stoop, kneel, bend and reach


Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Work on their feet 8 hours per day excluding breaks
  • Work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard for up to 2 hours continuously
  • Deliver hot and cold food to on-campus sites using carts and vans
  • Use proper lifting skills when handling stock
  • Load and push a cart a short distance
