Catering Sales & Events Specialist
Key Purpose
The Catering Sales & Events Specialist supports the Director of Sales & Catering by assisting with catering sales execution, client communication, and event coordination. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless sales-to-execution handoffs by supporting BEO development, maintaining client relationships, and managing administrative and coordination tasks within the sales and catering function.
This position is ideal for a highly organized, client-focused professional with a strong interest in catering sales, events, and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Catering Sales & Client Support
- Serve as a key point of contact for catering clients, supporting communication before, during, and after events.
- Assist with responding to catering inquiries, proposals, and follow-ups to support revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate client records, contracts, and correspondence within sales systems.
- Support the Director of Sales & Catering with sales pipeline tracking, reporting, and follow-up activities.
Event Coordination & BEO Management
- Prepare, review, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
- Coordinate event details across internal teams, including culinary, operations, and service staff.
- Track changes to events and communicate updates clearly and timely to all stakeholders.
- Assist with post-event reconciliation, billing coordination, and client follow-up.
Administrative & Sales Operations Support
- Manage calendars, deadlines, and documentation related to catering sales and events.
- Support preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and internal reporting.
- Maintain organized digital and physical files related to catering sales activities.
- Assist with forecasting, revenue tracking, and performance metrics as requested.
Collaboration & Brand Representation
- Represent ISS & Guckenheimer professionally in all client interactions, reinforcing brand standards and service excellence.
- Partner closely with the Director of Sales & Catering to ensure alignment with broader sales and business development strategies.
- Support continuous improvement of catering sales processes, tools, and client experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in catering, events, hospitality sales, or sales support roles.
- Experience working with BEOs, catering software, CRM tools, or sales tracking systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while supporting senior leadership.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to travel locally as needed to support events or client meetings.

The annual salary range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the above range.
