COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER

South Florida | Hybrid / Client-Facing

Turn Financial Insight Into Business Impact at ISS

At ISS, we believe People Make Places — and behind every high-performing client partnership is a strong commercial strategy that turns financial insight into action.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to serve as a key Finance Business Partner supporting a complex client account in South Florida.

This is much more than a traditional finance role.

You will sit at the intersection of Finance, Operations, Commercial Strategy, and Client Partnership, providing the financial leadership and business intelligence needed to strengthen performance, protect profitability, manage risk, and drive sustainable growth across food and facility service operations.

If you are a finance leader who enjoys being close to the business, influencing decisions, developing teams, and turning numbers into strategy, this could be your next opportunity.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will serve as a trusted financial advisor to account leadership, Operations, and client stakeholders.

You will provide visibility into business performance, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, strengthen forecasting, and help leadership make smarter, data-driven decisions.

You will also serve as a key commercial and contractual resource for the account — helping ensure financial performance aligns with client expectations, contractual commitments, ISS standards, and long-term business objectives.

Your impact will include:

Strategic Finance Business Partnership

Serve as the lead Finance Business Partner for account leadership, translating financial and operational data into actionable business recommendations. Partner closely with the Director of Operations and site leaders to improve profitability, performance, and operational effectiveness.

Commercial & Contract Leadership

Become a financial and contractual expert for the client account. Support contractual compliance, pricing reviews, change notices, amendments, commercial negotiations, billing requirements, and client reporting while building relationships grounded in transparency and trust.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead forecasting, budgeting, estimates, and long-range planning. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, evaluate site-level performance, and provide forward-looking recommendations that help leaders anticipate challenges rather than simply react to them.

Performance & Profitability

Identify opportunities to improve margins, operational efficiency, return on revenue, working capital, and overall account performance. Proactively identify financial and operational risks and help develop solutions.

Reporting, Controls & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable GAAP and IFRS requirements while maintaining strong internal controls, company policies, accounting standards, and audit readiness.

Billing, Collections & Cash Management

Provide oversight of client billing and supporting documentation, revenue recognition, reimbursement processes, collections, and working capital discussions to help maintain strong account cash flow.

Client & Executive Communication

Prepare and present monthly financial and business reviews to senior account leadership and client stakeholders. Communicate complex financial information in a clear, compelling way — highlighting performance, risks, opportunities, trends, and recommended actions.

LEAD & DEVELOP

Leadership matters at ISS.

You will lead and develop a finance team that includes a Client Controller and Financial Analyst, creating an environment centered on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

You will provide coaching, mentorship, and direction while ensuring effective execution across finance activities, including billing, payroll support, reporting, and local compliance.

WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with the ability to influence people and business decisions.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably within a client-facing environment
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
  • Advanced understanding of GAAP, financial controls, and accounting principles
  • Experience communicating and presenting financial performance to senior executives and clients
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities
  • Strong commercial, contractual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to transform complex financial information into clear business recommendations

Preferred qualifications include:

CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent professional certification, along with knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements.

Experience within Facilities Management, Food Services, Hospitality, Outsourcing, Contract Services, or similar service-based environments is highly valued.

Experience using ERP platforms, business intelligence tools, financial systems, and data visualization solutions is also preferred.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this role means becoming a trusted partner who helps the business see around corners.

You will:

  • Build strong partnerships with Operations and client stakeholders
  • Strengthen forecasting accuracy and financial visibility
  • Protect and improve account profitability
  • Demonstrate strong commercial and contractual judgment
  • Identify risks before they become problems
  • Turn data into actionable business intelligence
  • Drive process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Develop a high-performing finance team
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
  • Bring accountability, collaboration, and customer focus to every decision

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The successful candidate must be available to work at the client site approximately:
