Critical Manager

All Mission Critical and Critical Facilities within assigned region, as define by the OPTIMA Mission Critical and Critical Facilities List (MCCFL).

 

Key Purpose

The Critical Manager will provide regional leadership, management and support to the Critical Environment Operations. Prioritizing Health & Safety, OPTIMA Critical governance and Risk Controls, to achieve 100% uptime and compliance within assigned portfolio.

Provide tactical oversight for the delivery of all technical operations in relation to critical environments within the assigned portfolio. Ensuring that all governance requirements and programs are implemented and upheld to the highest standards, providing Subject Matter Expertise in relation to the supporting governance frameworks.

To develop and maintain strong working relationships with the operational team, key clients and the wider ISS community. Promote a positive culture and attitude of right first time and ZERO Downtime

To deliver a best in class Critical Environment Operation, by driving Clarity, Consistency, Compliance & Transparency through the deliverables to clients and colleagues.

Subject Matter Expert in relation to:

  • Safe Systems of Work governance, processes and procedures
  • OPTIMA Critical Environments governance, processes and procedures
  • Engineering Risk Controls framework and requirements
  • Risk Management in line with governance frameworks

Key Accountabilities


Health and Safety

  • Ensuring Safe Systems of Work processes and procedures are at the forefront of our delivery and upheld to the highest standards.
  • Be appointed as a Senior Authorized Person (SAP) or Authorizing Engineer (AE)
  • Support on-going adherence to health and safety standards in accordance with local Health and account requirements.
  • Drive towards a zero-accident culture


Critical Environment Operations


  • Ensure that all staff are trained in line with the requirements of the Critical Environments Program ‘OPTIMA Critical’.
  • Ensure that works are carried out in line with the standards and governance set out in the Critical Environments Program ‘OPTIMA Critical’
  • Develop a culture of recognition, reward, continuous improvement and right first time, which promotes a Zero Unplanned Downtime mentality.
  • Review and approval of Critical Environment Operating Procedures
  • Chair Weekly Technical Review board calls / meetings
  • Provide SME support to the incident management process


Risk Controls

  • ISS engineering risk control requirements are being met and for the controls to successfully pass operational effectiveness testing and audit
  • Ensure the completion of tasks that will assist Barclays engineering risk controls aligned to ISS risk controls successfully passing operational effectiveness testing and audit.


Ideal Candidate Experience


  • Minimum 5 Year managing Mission Critical Environments
  • Qualified in an engineering discipline
  • People and stakeholder management
  • Area/Regional management experience
  • Authorizing Engineer or Authorized Person Experience Customer Focus

Physical Demands & Work Environment


  • Ability to travel, 10%-20%

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $$135000.00  - $145000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
