Hourly Wage

The work hours for this position are approximately 5:30 am - 2:00 pm, Mon-Fri .
Key Purpose
We’re looking for a Culinary Project Coordinator to support our R&D kitchen and culinary development initiatives. This role combines hands-on culinary knowledge with strong project management and data management skills. You’ll work closely with our Executive Chef and the culinary team to manage recipe documentation, standardize processes in our software systems, and help drive culinary projects from concept to completion.
This is a hybrid role: while your focus is on project management, you’ll occasionally step into the kitchen to assist with recipe testing, quality evaluation, and other culinary tasks.
Success Criteria
Project Coordination & Data:
- Lead culinary development projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Document recipes, ingredient specifications, and preparation methods accurately in company software.
- Standardize recipes, procedures, and product information across all systems.
- Track project progress, update status reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Support the Director of Culinary Development and Executive Chef in planning and executing initiatives.
Culinary Support:
- Assist with recipe testing, product development, and quality evaluations when needed.
- Help maintain consistency and quality standards across all culinary projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (culinary, operations, IT) to ensure successful project outcomes.
Collaboration & Administration
- Maintain accurate project documentation and data management practices.
- Coordinate with other internal departments and provide updates on project status
- Support team members in achieving project goals and meeting deadlines.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment

Ideal Candidate Experience
- Culinary experience required (professional kitchen, R&D, or culinary operations).
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up
- Excellent organizational and data management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project/recipe management software.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator with experience collaborating across teams.
- Ability to step into the kitchen and assist with hands-on culinary tasks as needed.
- Experience in food service or corporate dining is a plus.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting
- Ensure project goals and objectives align with the company's strategic vision
- Lead cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables while monitoring and controlling project scope to prevent scope creep
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial goals are met
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards
- Maintain clear and regular communication with project stakeholders, including team members, clients, and senior leadership teams to provide updates on project status, issues, and solutions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and change orders
- Evaluate project outcomes and performance against KPIs and identify areas for improvement
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Primarily office-based (data entry, project management) but will spend some time in the kitchen
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (ingredients, equipment).
- Comfortable working under pressure during busy periods.
