Key Purpose
The Director of Workplace Innovation is the strategic and creative force behind developing new and exciting workplace experiences. They have a license to innovate through creative approaches across disciplines.
The idea is to re-invent the world in some small or large way by finding new opportunities and questioning the status quo. ‘What if’ should be there mantra, thinking win-win-win is their way of life.
The Director of Workplace Innovation will partner with ISS and client teams to ensure all ideas and considerations are exhausted to bring curated experiences to life. The position is expected to enhance the entire journey and experience of visiting our customer’s world-class sites (prior to, during, and after visiting). The Director is client facing and must exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Key Accountabilities
- Meeting with stakeholders at different levels to identify areas of innovation and growth.
- Identifying innovation trends and business opportunities within the market.
- Leading a team to enhance the innovative potential of the business.
- Developing, strategizing, and planning new interventions that will drive innovation.
- Creating and overseeing a comprehensive long-term innovation strategy for the company.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to enhance innovative thinking around the company.
- Expanding on the organization's long-term innovative capabilities.
- Advising management on yearly, medium-term, long-term, and future innovation goals.
- Presenting new ideas and approaches to high-level stakeholders.
- Reporting on and adapting innovative interventions within the company, as required.
Key Areas of Collaboration & Influence
- Realize the importance of a team working environment
- Communicate and work effectively across all service line teams of the account (ISS, other service providers and customer functions across all sites)
- Collaborate with colleagues across the company so that information is disseminated effectively
- Participate in project groups and meetings as required
- Promote the OneISS Vision
- Transfer best practice
- Use the account and portfolio of sites to promote and further develop ISS
Ideal Candidate Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in strategy, leadership, business, or management.
- 8-12 years' experience in IT, technology, business, marketing, or finance-related fields.
- 3-5 years' experience in a management position.
- An understanding of concepts such as RPA, blockchain, AI, machine learning, and cognitive computing.
- Adaptive thinking and a strong, critical mindset.
- Strong business acumen and presentation skills.
- Highly proficient at project planning, budgeting, and oversight.
- Forward-thinking and adaptable to dynamic situations.
- A solid understanding of innovation and how it should be applied in business.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Sitting at a computer for 50% of the time
- Walking/inspecting the site 50% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills, and may vary from the range listed above.
