Hourly Wage 

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00  - $21.00 


Work Hours 

The work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends - 8:00 am-5:00 pm.


Key Purpose

The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist will support the “Manager” in a safe, efficient, and professional manner with preventative, corrective, and general repairs of all equipment used by ISS on the site. Other duties include, but not limited to, daily assessments of equipment, maintaining a clean working environment, and other various duties as assigned by the Manager, while adhering to all HS&E standards.

The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist is responsible for performing equipment preventative maintenance  and repairs in accordance with any ISS or manufacturer established standards, and providing inventory oversight of all equipment, equipment supplies and janitorial supply inventory levels. The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist is also responsible for following all processes to support client satisfaction. The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist is an entry level, general labor position.

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • 0-1 years in Equipment Maintenance or related field
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean MV record (if operating moving vehicles)
  • Any trade certificate (desired)
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts

 

Key Accountabilities

The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist may work independently and must will work under the direction/oversight of the Site and Regional Managers. The Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist does not supervise other ISS personnel or third-party vendors. 

  • Completes HS&E training as scheduled; Follows HS&E procedures; Demonstrates safe work practices; Exhibits HS&E best practice culture; Reports unacceptable HS&E conditions immediately
  • Maintain the inventory of on-site equipment by either direct diagnosis and repair or coordination with the manufacturer to provide on-site repairs
  • Performs and documents maintenance and repairs in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workspace
  • Provide inventory control and oversight of parts, materials, chemical and supplies as direct by the Site Manager
  • Move and delivery inventory of supplies to various locations throughout the site
  • Performs manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Equipment Technician & Inventory Specialist is regularly required to stand and walk at eight-hour intervals with occasional scheduled breaks
  • Frequent use arms, hands, and fingers to handle, touch, feel, and reach
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear.
  • The individual is frequently required to climb stairs
  • The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, at higher than chest level
  • Must be able to tolerate adverse working conditions due to climate and tolerate extreme temperature changes
