Hourly Wage

Work Hours
The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Key Purpose
The Events Assistant is responsible and accountable for proactive and strategic support for all event operations.

- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. Up to and including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Intermediate skill level using Google applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Hangouts, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, responsible, dependable, and capable of fulfilling obligations and has a deep desire to anticipate, engage and satisfy customer needs
- A systematic approach to problem-solving
- Always promotes positive guest and co-worker relationships
- Can calmly and effectively adapt to constructive feedback in high-stress environment
Ideal Candidate Experience
- 2+ years of experience in events or similar role
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and multitasking skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in a tech or creative entertainment company is a plus
- Proven track record as a production assistant or a strong enthusiasm for the industry
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with industry-specific terminology
- Resourceful and excellent problem-solver
- A collaborative team player
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in film production, or an audio and visual role
- A passion for gaming and empathy for the player experience
- Knowledge of integrating live production elements (audio, video, lighting, staging) to create memorable experiences
Key Accountabilities
- Event Coordination: Manage conference room bookings, company calendars, and event needs. Develop space and seating setups, and communicate with cross-functional teams
- Event Setup and Support: Set up, staff, and break down various events of all sizes. Assist in creating and executing virtual and hybrid events. Act as a liaison for physical productions, assisting speakers and crews, and handling onsite logistics
- Event Evaluation: Participate in retroactive reviews to measure the impact and resonance of completed events
- Collaboration: Curate programming and event ideas for various campuses. Assist with alignment of branding and marketing collateral across all campus displays
- Administrative Support: Provide ongoing administrative support, handle paperwork, answer phones, and perform additional projects as needed
- Technical Support: Execute maintenance checks of audio/video equipment, set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment for shoots and events. Edit pre-recorded footage, create graphics packages, and operate broadcasting equipment
Physical Demands & Work Environments
- Work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, excluding breaks
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.
- Come to work properly dressed according to the dress code
- Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
