Executive Compensation Director

 

The Executive Compensation Senior Manager is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of our senior leader compensation plans. You will be responsible for developing and executing a framework that aligns with our business objectives, ensuring equitable and competitive compensation practices for all our Placemakers. You will conduct comprehensive market research, ensure alignment between executive pay and company goals, and maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This position requires a blend of in-depth compensation knowledge, analytical prowess, and the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Executive and Senior Leader Compensation Planning: Develop and manage innovative senior leader compensation plans that attract, retain, and motivate top senior talent.
  • Market Benchmarking: Conduct thorough market research to benchmark our senior leaders compensation packages against those of comparable organizations.
  • Conduct job analysis to determine appropriate market pricing; review and approve salary increases and advise management on compensation actions for senior leaders.
  • Performance Alignment: Ensure senior leader compensation is closely aligned with company performance and strategic goals, fostering a culture of achievement and fairness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to senior leader compensation, mitigating risk and ensuring ethical standards are met.
  • Create clear and effective compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures that encompass base pay, incentives, variable pay plans, commission plans that support the business ensuring consistency and equity.
  • Oversee the preparation of compensation data for compensation meetings.
  • Lead and implement Job Architecture and salary structure project work within current grading construct; and execute compensation design module for career progression along with incentive pay to attract, retain top talent.
  • Primary resource for information, problem solving, and communication to senior management as it relates to the architecture and strategy development for all areas pertaining to corporate, executive and equity compensation
  • Manage the expatriate program to include Visa needs with our Global teams and Immigration counsel

 


Required Skills

  • Expertise in Senior leader and Executive Compensation: Deep understanding of senior leader compensation strategies, market trends, and best practices.
  • Analytical and Communication Abilities: Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent communication capabilities, essential for developing strategies and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in navigating the complex regulatory environment surrounding executive compensation, ensuring compliance and integrity.
  • High ethical standards and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive compensation information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access. Must be able to create professional documents using Word and PowerPoint. Must be able to create spreadsheets containing formulas, be able to create pivot tables, and use charting
  • Demonstrated experience leading compensation design changes from concept to execution.
  • Strategic thinker with deep expertise in the design, analysis, development, implementation, management and administration of all types of compensation programs (executive, corporate, operational senior leaders, sales incentives, variable)
  • Experience in design, implementation and administration of salary structures and compensation plans.
  • Strong business acumen with a highly analytical process orientation.



Qualifications

  • 10 + years’ experience in executive compensation, compensation management, or a related field, with a proven track record in developing effective executive compensation strategies.
  • 4 years or more managerial experience
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong and effective executive presence with C suite and senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the legal and regulatory landscape of executive compensation.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $170000 per year - $200000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the above range.
