Floor Care Technician

$21 per hour - $22 per hour


Night Shift: Monday - Friday, 4pm - 12:30am, with some weekends as needed

Key Purpose

Floor Care Technicians keep the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas such as break rooms. Will also keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in clean and orderly condition. You will work successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization while understanding and following instructions, both verbal and written; and explain how to complete a task using basic communication skills.

Ideal Candidate Experience 

  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively
  • Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care
  • Related GMP manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Understand GMP/GDP requirements including documentation requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance
  • Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
  • Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Perform sanitizations per GMP regulations in production areas (Mop and/ or wipe floors, walls, ceilings, curtains, etc.)
  • Wear Full PPE for extended periods of time
  • Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly
  • Floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells
  • Routine restroom cleaning
  • Maintenance of floor care equipment
  • Follow impairment procedures prior to performing work
  • Document all floor cleaning per the schedule provided
  • Perform daily audits to ensure floors maintain aesthetic appearance
  • Position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work; Overtime may be required at times

  • No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails allowed
