Hourly Wage

range for this position is $17 per hour - $17.50 per hour.


Work Hours


The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm .


Key Purpose


The Lab Stockroom Technician position is responsible for completing all necessary shipping and

receiving tasks to support the operations of Lab Services. This position will manage Lab Services

supplies including delivery of gas cylinders, nitrogen tanks, waste containers, and other lab

materials to lab locations. Tech will also serve as a point of contact for labs needing to special order

materials through the customer lab supply ordering system. Other duties will be dependent on

operational needs as outlined by ISS’ clients and contracts.

Ideal Candidate Experience


* Must be 18 years of age, or older

* Valid state driver’s license with clean and safe DMV driving record

* High school diploma/GED or an equivalent number of years of education and lab

services experience.

* Experience with Pharmaceutical SOPs and GMP is a plus

* Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English

* Move experience a plus

* Ethical Conduct

* Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills

* Lab Services Support experience

* Driving/delivery service experience


Key Accountabilities


* Pick up empty solvent containers, fill, and return full solvent containers

* Transport samples and packages to and from laboratories and shipping centers within

buildings or campus.

* Transport laboratory waste containers to collection area

* Record Lab Services activity performed using AbbVie technology solution.

* Deliver compressed gas cylinders to laboratories

* Retrieve empty gas cylinders and return to collection locations

* Pick up, fill and return liquid nitrogen tanks and cryogenic dewars

* Provide and maintain tanks and dewars for liquid nitrogen

* Drive company vehicles to deliver Lab Services supplies between AbbVie buildings

* Perform necessary follow-up with customer requests (verbal, email, etc.), work to

resolve issues

* Perform other in scope Lab Services duties as assigned

* Follow established operating and safety procedures


Physical Demands & Work Environment


* Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

* While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand;

walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or

balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color

vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

* Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or

airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of

electrical shock and vibration

* Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions

* The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
