We are seeking an experienced, results-driven People & Culture Business Partner to join the ISS/Guckenheimer team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR leader who is passionate about creating positive employee experiences, strengthening workplace culture, and aligning people strategies with business objectives.
Reporting to the People & Culture Lead and partnering closely with operational leaders and the broader ISS/Guckenheimer People & Culture organization, you will serve as a trusted advisor across multiple client sites. You will play an integral role in employee and labor relations, talent management, organizational development, performance management, compliance, and workforce engagement.
What You’ll Do
As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will:
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to leaders, managers, and employees, aligning People & Culture initiatives with operational and business priorities.
- Build trusted relationships across the organization and provide thoughtful coaching and guidance on complex employee and labor relations matters.
- Support the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and labor contracts.
- Advise leaders on grievances, arbitration procedures, performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and other sensitive workplace matters.
- Partner with employee representative organizations and support productive labor-management relationships, including joint labor-management committees.
- Ensure the consistent implementation and utilization of HR policies, procedures, and programs related to staffing, onboarding, employee relations, recognition, and business systems.
- Partner with People & Culture Shared Services to support compliance with employment laws, equal employment opportunity requirements, workplace policies, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to identify workforce needs, recruit top talent, address staffing challenges, and support effective hiring and selection practices.
- Support managers and account leadership in identifying vacancies and recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates.
- Lead and support new employee orientation and onboarding programs that create a welcoming experience and connect employees to organizational values and objectives.
- Administer and support performance management processes, employee development programs, training initiatives, and organizational learning.
- Partner with central teams to support compensation, benefits, wellness, health, and safety programs in accordance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Assess and anticipate HR-related needs, proactively identify opportunities, and develop integrated People & Culture solutions.
- Represent the organization in personnel-related hearings and investigations when required.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of a complex, matrixed organization while sharing best practices that further strengthen ISS/Guckenheimer.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is an influential and collaborative HR professional who combines strong business acumen with exceptional employee and labor relations expertise.
Required and Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, including support for multiple locations.
- 2+ years of experience working in a union environment. Preferred
- Strong employee relations and labor relations experience.
- Experience coaching and advising managers and organizational leaders.
- Experience in employee training, Learning & Development, or organizational development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- 3+ years of experience supporting hospitality, restaurant, food service, casino, stadium, arena, and/or retail environments is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce and administering labor agreements preferred.
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, or SPHR-CA preferred; GPHR is a plus.
- Experience working effectively across all levels of a matrixed and/or international organization.
- Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and navigate diverse cultures and organizational environments.
- Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage systems and tools to improve HR effectiveness.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $115000.00 - $130000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills, and may vary from the range listed above.
