ISS Procurement Manager (Hybrid – Whippany, NJ

 

The Purpose

The Procurement Manager plays a dual role, leading both client-focused procurement activities and the Preferred Vendor Program (PVP) across the ISS portfolio. This position is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial performance for a defined client group while also driving the optimization and governance of ISS’s preferred vendor network nationally.

This role requires a results-oriented, collaborative leader who can balance strategic vision with hands- on execution and navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 This is a hybrid position based in Whippany, New Jersey, with an expectation of approximately 25% of time spent in the office. The remaining time may be remote or spent traveling to client sites as needed


Dual Role Responsibilities


1. Client Procurement Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for assigned client accounts, ensuring alignment with client goals, operational excellence, and cost efficiencies.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and Client stakeholders to deliver measurable savings innovation, and service quality.
  • Oversee supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk management across all categories
  • Develop category strategies and negotiate complex agreements to ensure best-in-class value.

 

2. Preferred Vendor Program (PVP) Management

  • Own and lead the Preferred Vendor Program across ISS North America, ensuring consistency governance, and optimization of the preferred supplier network.
  • Identify opportunities to expand and enhance vendor categories, service quality, and compliance standards.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to align the PVP with client procurement needs, operational requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Lead quarterly vendor reviews, manage KPIs, and ensure continuous improvement and accountability within the supplier base.
  • Partner with Legal and Risk to maintain updated master agreements and compliance documentation for preferred partners.

 

Essential Functions


  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Develop and execute procurement strategies delivering measurable results and alignment with ISS and client priorities.
  • Supplier Management: Implement supplier scorecards, conduct quarterly business reviews, and ensure continuous performance improvement.
  • Team & Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate across functional teams to embed procurement best practices and build alignment on sourcing decisions.
  • Contracting & Negotiations: Lead commercial negotiations ensuring favorable terms, compliance and long-term value creation.
  • Risk, Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ISS standards and applicable regulations.
  • Diversity & Sustainability: Integrate supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives within sourcing strategies.

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or professional certification (CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years in procurement or sourcing, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience managing large-scale supplier programs or preferred vendor frameworks strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex contract negotiations.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (SAP, Ariba, or similar).

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $95000.00  - $109000.00  Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
