Project Manager

 

Key Purpose

 We are seeking a Project Manager to drive and deliver successful and innovative outcomes across several of our national accounts.  In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on the project’s objectives, ensuring the client’s cost, schedule and quality expectations are achieved. In collaboration with internal colleagues, you will support the coordination of both internal and external stakeholders, from the initial design phase, through construction completion. 

 

This position requires a knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, commercial, and office sectors.

  

Key Accountabilities 

  • Lead cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end using a formal ISS Global process
  • Lead the project scoping and initiation phases, to support establishing the client’s project objectives, cost, timing and quality expectations
  • Develop and manage the project schedule
  • Coordinate and negotiate with all project contractors and the supply chain
  • Chair meetings (internal and external) with clear follow-through and close-out of actions and risks
  • Prepare project reports, encompassing key project updates and financial tracking
  • Collaborate with internal ISS teams to ensure alignment with account success
  • Proactively manage risks and mitigation plans
  • Track and document critical project components and milestones
  • Other duties may be assigned

 

 Needs to know 

  • This role will report to the Vice President of Capital Projects for North America.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to support significant growth within ISS and influence new processes and tools to continue to raise the bar of our Capital Projects offering.
  • You will be stepping into a collaborative and fast-paced environment, with expectations to drive high levels of communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • This role will be supported to assist with promoting the IFS (Integrated Facilities Services) model within the ISS client community.

 

 Ideal Candidate Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a university preferred; degree in construction management, cost management, building sciences, technical, mechanical, electrical engineering preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • Expert in use of Project Management software, especially Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of cost estimating and budget management
  • Skilled in computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with team members and with customers at all levels of an organization
  • High level of organization and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams

  

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

  • Sitting at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Travel requirements: Up to 30%
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $145000.00  - $160000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
