Regional Engineering Manager


Position Overview (Key Purpose)

Plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of engineering systems and infrastructure operations, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and repairs, and assigned capital projects within both client and ISS requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering operations across assigned buildings in accordance with the service contract agreement.
  • Responsible for the day to day running of the M&E services requirements, organizing vendors and supply chain in order to meet the contractual outputs/objectives.
  • Identifying, planning & scheduling of PPM in all service delivery aspects. Proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and extra works.
  • Maintain records pertaining to operations, PPM schedule, reactive maintenance, emergency operations plans and other engineering, building fabric records, including operation and maintenance manuals and drawings.
  • Oversee all maintenance contract activities and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements.
  • Available to attend or manage emergency callouts and provide written incident reports as required.
  • Ensure all technical elements of the contract meet the client’s requirements.
  • Prepare and implement SOPS/MOPS/MMRs as appropriate for site operations and maintenance.
  • Track utility usage and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Identify end-of-service life equipment and manage capital projects for replacement.
  • Prepare all compliance documentation for audit(s) as requested by client or ISS internal organization.
  • Provide technical support to client and ISS team.
  • Staff supervision including all full-time, part-time, sub-contractors and specialist providers.
  • Responsible for compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Take ownership of the client’s needs and pursue effective communications with the customer in order to build a stable relationship.
  • Substantial experience in engineering services within a corporate client environment with principal responsibility of maintaining building engineering services to a high standard.
  • BS in engineering or related technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Work Order Control procedures and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with building management and control systems (Siemens and ALC a plus).
  • Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management.
  • Experience with capacity planning and reporting.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational and interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to respond to equipment alarms, troubleshoot systems through remote computerized user interfaces, and understand system operations to be able stabilize equipment/systems while specialized technicians are called out.
  • Must be able to use personal computers, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of load calculation, load balancing, fault tolerance and single point of failure analysis
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, technical manuals, procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, Spanish and Portuguese a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to management and client representatives.
  • Take responsibility for overseeing and ensuring KPI requirements are met, including support documentation and evidence are adhered to

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds 
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods

ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $130000.00  - $145000.00 . Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
