Key Purpose

 The Sr. Procurement Business Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to our procurement operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and vendor performance optimization. Strong communication skills are needed as routine interaction with vendors and senior ISS managers is anticipated.

  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: Be able to clean, process, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and relevance to project objectives
  • Programming Skills: Be proficient in programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python, to manage and manipulate data sets effectively
  • Communication Skills: Be able to communicate complex data findings and insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across the company so that information is disseminated effectively and participate in project groups and meetings as required

Key Accountabilities

  • Collect and analyze procurement data from various sources, including ERP systems (JDE), procurement data systems (Sievo), vendor portals, and financial reports
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to extract data and perform complex data analysis
  • Write Python scripts to automate data collection and analysis processes
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations (including data accuracy) to communicate key procurement metrics and trends to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and vendor performance optimization
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify best practices, industry trends, and pricing
  • Develop and maintain procurement related KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics
  • Manage data quality and inputs to a global spend and savings management platform
  • Create, manage, and reconcile rebate calculations with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the procurement team as needed
  • Identify data quality issues and work with IT and data governance teams to resolve them

 

Ideal Candidate Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Data Analyst role, with a focus on procurement
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience writing complex queries and scripts
  • Strong Python skills, with experience developing scripts for data collection and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar is a plus
  • Experience with ArrowStream Foodservice Technology is highly desired

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Sitting at a computer for long periods of time, at least 90% of the time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
  • Some travel possible

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $85000 per year - $103000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the above range.
