Work Hours
The work hours for this position are approximately 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Mon-Fri.

We’re looking for someone who can bring the same energy to our team that we put into our smoothies — fresh, vibrant, and full of good vibes. As a Smoothie Bar Porter, you’ll be the first friendly face guests see, the steady hands behind the blender, and the reason our customers leave with a smile.
Success Criteria
- Obtain ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card within two weeks of hire
- Arrives on time for all scheduled shifts
- Wears the proper uniform, including non-slip shoes and a name tag
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Delivers outstanding hospitality and adapts to customer requests
- Willingly asks for assistance when needed

- Two years of experience in a smoothie or juice bar preferred
- Knowledge of seasonal fruits and vegetables to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction

- Communicate effectively with team members, including the use of safety words
Ideal Candidate Experience
- Ability to keep calm under busy working condition
- Must be able to correctly and safely use standard kitchen equipment: Chefs' knives, panini machines, blenders, and juicers
- Have knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and completing all production sheets
- Possess ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card
- Must have a passion for customer service

- Knowing your equipment is clean and in good working order
Key Accountabilities
- Produce visually appealing, high-quality food and beverages according to Guckenheimer standards
- Prepare smoothies and açaí bowls according to recipes or made-to-order specifications
- Taste and evaluate products when developing new drinks or sandwiches
- Follow all sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with Health Department regulations
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using proper kitchen utensils and equipment
- Monitor and regulate grill temperatures
- Follow company safety protocols and actively work to prevent accidents
- Uphold the service values and ethics of the client company
- Comply with ServSafe/Food Handler and HACCP requirements
- Wash and sanitize all serving utensils and blenders
- Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and in proper working order
- Safely operate standard kitchen equipment, including chef’s knives, panini presses, blenders, and juicers
- Deliver hot and cold food to on-campus sites during special events using carts
- Complete all production sheets accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 (lbs)
- Employees must be able to stand and work on their feet for the duration of their shift, excluding breaks
- Must be able to efficiently work under pressure during large events and peak periods, adhering to all local and company procedures without compromising quality or safety
