Hourly Wage

Key Purpose
The Vivarium & Sanitation Cleaning Supervisor works with AGM, manager, service associates, and key customers to ensure continued satisfaction of services. The Vivarium & Sanitation Cleaning Supervisor leads a team of professionals and ensures tasks are completed, instructions are understood and upholds the standards of cleanliness while adhering to GMP regulations, environmental health and safety guidelines, and any other related restrictions that may apply.

Ideal Candidate Experience
- Must be 18 years of age, or older
- Related GMP manufacturing experience is preferred
- High school diploma, or equivalent required
- Ability to read, write, speak English, and communicate effectively required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures is a plus
- Should possess basic math skills
- Understand that safety is a top priority and comply with all safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
- 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with strong emphasis on customer service
- Demonstrates strong skills in: Communication, Decision-making, Leadership, and Problem-solving
- Demonstrates professional and political aptitude
- Strong computer proficiency skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Key Accountabilities
- Wear Full PPE for extended periods of time
- Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly
- Participate, as needed, in the investigation and CAPA process for incidents and deviations
- Support client in CAPA implementation to incidents and deviations, effectiveness checks, and CAPA closure
- Ensure all ISS site GMP personnel are trained and qualified to perform GMP related tasks and training is timely and complete
- Schedule and/or conduct site initial, and refresher Good Documentation and Data Practices (GDDP), and GMP training as required. Provide oversight/review of completed GMP records for GDDP
- Notify client and ISS of site incidents using appropriate escalation procedures and maintain incident log
- Enforce company and customer goals, policies, and procedures
- Manage daily operations in cage wash and sanitation cleaning to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided
- Identify places to improve performance, policies, and programs
- Promote responsibility for safe and controlled work environments
- Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and in a timely manner
- Develop and manage employee population
- Trains and manages employees and vendors to ensure all client rules, guidelines, regulations, and expectations are adhered to
- Develops and maintains strategic customer relationships
- Serves as liaison between clients and company departments/divisions
- Conducts service review meetings with clients concerning ISS performance, vendor performance and process improvements
- Examines work completion in accordance to contract deliverables
- Monitors quality control throughout assigned facilities
- Work with and cage wash lead and sanitation cleaning team members to complete daily punch list items, which include:
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain all animal caging materials, cagewash equipment, and vivarium spaces
- Perform activities in a way to prevent cross-contamination
- Maintain an adequate amount of cleaning supplies
- Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines
- Manually clean portable equipment and small parts
- Receive and distribute supplies into the production area as necessary
Physical Demands
- Sitting at a computer for 20% of the time
- Walking/ inspecting the site 80% of the time
- To perform the necessary functions and tasks of the job you are required to: Stand 33%, Walk >66%, Sit <10%
- Use of hands and fingers to touch, handle, rub, grip, and feel <66%

- Perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 2 hours at a time followed by a 15-minute break) over an entire 8- or 12-hour shift
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs while wearing special gowning
- Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds (with assistance of material handling equipment)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds
- Frequently lift 0-20 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body
- No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment
- Will work in a cold, wet environment
- Must be able to work multiple shifts, including occasional weekends
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- May be required to work in a confined area
- Some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions
